This year, the 24th Student Essay Competition invites students to unleash their imagination with the theme, “Modern and Smart Logistics” Secondary students are invited to participate either individually or in a team (up to 3 members) to write an essay on the following topics, with no more than 3000 words:

Timeline of competition

Stage 1

Dec 2025 - Feb 2026

Invitation & Submission

We invited all secondary schools and international schools in Hong Kong to join this prestigious competition.

Deadline: All submissions must arrive at CILTHK office by 2 February 2026 (3pm).
Stage 2

February 2026

Assessment Period

Mid-Feb

All submissions will be reviewed by professional judges for the first round of selection.

After mid-Feb

A separate panel of professional judges will conduct a final assessment of the selected essays in the second round to determine the winners.

Stage 3

March 14, 2026

Result Announcements and Award Presentation Ceremony

Winners in four categories (Junior and Senior Students in both Chinese and English groups) will be announced before the Student Day competition begins.

Champions will be invited to receive a press interview after the ceremony.

The assessment process includes two rounds, conducted by:

Judging Criteria

Essays will be evaluated based on analytical and critical thinking, depth of research and understanding, innovation and creativity, as well as writing and presentation skills.
