Theme and Timeline of competition

Our competition on "Smart Logistics 4.0 Technologies" offers contestants a valuable opportunity to engage in this meaningful event. Teams present research cases anonymously to a professional judging panel, responding to questions for the championship. CILTHK ensures an open, fair platform by prohibiting identity disclosure to prevent bias.

Theme of 2026

Supported by MATF and the Transport and Logistics Bureau, CILTHK Student Day 2026 invites undergraduates to reimagine Hong Kong as a leading smart logistics hub.

Phase One

Invitation to Participate in the Competition

October - December, 2025

Degree-granting universities and tertiary institutions in Hong Kong and Macau offering programs in supply chain and logistics management were invited to participate in the annual competition.

By the end of December 2025, eight universities and tertiary institutions from Hong Kong and Macau had registered with the CILTHK office to participate in the competition.

Phase Two

Start of Student Research Competition

February 28, 2026

Two weeks prior to the competition: Each team will be assigned an anonymous team name through a random selection process.

March 12, 2026

Two days prior to the competition, each team will be assigned a research case study to initiate their research.

March 13, 2026

Submission deadline (6:00 PM): Teams must upload their research presentations to the CILTHK cloud system.

Phase Three

During the competition, each team will present its research case to a professional judging panel and respond to questions in order to compete for the championship.

CILTHK is committed to providing an open and fair competition platform for all students. To prevent potential bias, competing teams must not disclose their identities during the competition.

The champion team will be invited to participate in a press interview at the conclusion of the competition.

On competition day (March 14 ), each team will deliver a 12-minute live presentation of their research project to the judging panel. This will be followed by an 8-minute Question & Answer session, during which teams will respond to one to three main questions from the judges.
